johnson seahorse

i have a 25 hp johnson seahorse. Model #J25RCTT, Serial #E5777467. what year is it? also i went to start it up after the winter and it will not turn over. it pull start. i got it to run for about 2 minutes after 20 minutes of trying and now i can get to turn over again? any idea what the problem maybe?

i just put in new gas high octane 93, i believe. all i did to winterize it was take out the spark plugs and put 3 in 1 in

the 3 in 1 may have fouled the plugs, how do they look, wet, dry, carboned over, etc. Maybe new plugs or clean the old ones up. Also pull the plugs and spin it without them in a few times. Is it getting gas to the carb/s?

not clear will it turn over now? if not, tilt it up. or lay on its face with plug hole up, 1/2 ounce of marvel mystery oil in each cylinder, let it sit 24 hours. with plugs out put the motor with plug holes down, try the pull the rope 5 or 6 times. put several layers of newpaper under it, as it's going to spit the oil out. hopefully this will free it up.

the plugs are good, there are getting a spark. There is gas in the carb. I checked the fuel filter origianly thinking that may have been a problem. i'll try the marvel mystery oil this weekend and let you guys know how that works out. thanks

i fix it this weekend. what i did was clean the carb with carb cleaner. but the key to fixing it was taking out the needle adjuster on top. it would start and stop, after that so what i did is spray starter fluid and once i got it to idel i let it sit for about ten minutes. i am assuming there for some junk in there that i had to burn off. so thanks for the help guys, and maybe this info will help someone. Also what is the value of a 1964 boston whaler (rough condition) and a 1998 2 stroke oil injected 25 HP pull rope johnson (good shape). 1400? more or less?
