STILL TACH PROBLEMS

I have a 1983 johson gt 150hp V6 motor, the boat has a tach but not hooked up. Where or how do i hook it up and where at on the motor

The tach should have a ground, a positive live with key on, a signal terminal and possibly a light as well. As I stated before, these terminals can be connected to the control assembly. If you want, you can wire the tach signal right to the motor's terminal strip (grey) but it would be alot easier to connect it at the controls where the rubber plug is.....<br /><br />Did you find the rubber plug on the control?
