tilt problems

i have a mercury 3cylinder 70hp everything seems to be operating correctly except when i tilt o/b all the way to the full up position it starts lowering/leaking down like the cylinders are not holding pressure to keep the o/b in the up position.have no experience with hydraulics any help would be greatly appreciated.

Hi Cal,<br /><br />Need more info... is the tilt motor lowering the O/B or is it just slowly lowering/leaking down?<br /><br />Tell us exactly what you are doing - what happens - what do you hear/see?

if she's an old merc, be sure the knob on the bottom of the tilt motor is backed all the way out.
