Please Help ! 20hp Johnson - NO Numbers

Hello,<br /><br />I need some help, I just got a 20 hp Johnson boat motor, that is not running. I do NOT know what year the motor is to get parts for it. The little plate o the side is missing !!!. Is there any way I can find out what year the motor is? There is a little round plate on the motor itself that has a number on it. If that helps. I think it's some where inthe early 70's It lite green with a cream top. The number on the round plate would help too.<br /><br />Light green with a cream top is consistent with the early 70s/late 60s.

20R73 is indeed a 1973 Model Number. You can get the parts' numbers at the BRP Web Site: BRP Parts Manuals
