Evinrude Choke

What causes the choke to open back up after the solenoid pulls the choke closed on an E70ELCIH? Is there supposed to be a spring that opens the choke plates, or is the airflow through the carb expected to open them? If there's supposed to be a spring there, I lost it somehow.

Yes, hounddog. When the solenoid pulls the choke closed it stretches a spring. The spring pulls it back open when the solenoid is released.
