The above motor developed a problem with the oil injection system. One minute it was working fine, and then it began smoking excessively. Once stopped the engine would not start. The spark plugs were soaked with oil. I removed, and plugged the oil supply line, and disconnected the brown, and white wire from tank
per the manual, but my console alarm still sounds to indicate low oil to the engine. what is wrong?

I don't know what is wrong with the oil side of the pump, but I would disconnect it for now and run pre-mix. Do not run the motor with the oil line disconnected unless you have oil mixed with the fuel.... Here's how to disable the oil side of the pump for now:

web page

Sounds like you have a FUEL supply problem.Air is getting in somewhere.Try pulling the motor cover and squeezing the primer bulb, and looking for fuel leaks. Also tighten all the clamps you see.

And,yes, run premix until the problem is found.

Also that motor will fire (and run)on at least 5 & 6 times the normal oil mix and NOT fowl plugs.

DHP
