I just got my block back from the machine shop and I am ready to assemble. The book says to apply grease on the crank and connecting rod bearings before assembling. What type of grease should I use?

Man I just douche everything with two stroke while I am assembling. The floor looks like a mess when I am done, but I have excellent luck(or no problems) with all of my rebuilds. I never worry about that white monkey grease working its way out. If you have to have it, call your local dealer for assembly lube. :D  :)

Ok BushCat thanks for the reply. Would fogging oil be just as good?

Thanks Kenny I’ll use TCW-3 oil when I assemble. But I have to ask why not, if fogging oil is good to coat all of the moving parts and keep them from rusting then act as a lubricant when you first start up in the spring why not use it?
