Boat specs/manual?

Can anyone tell me where i might find info. on a Sunbird Neptune or just the Sunbird Boat company? I am buying a Sunbird Neptune 201 DC and would like to learn as much about it as i can, but i cannot seem to find much helpful info on it since they are no longer in business.<br />Any help would be much appreciated!

Go to nada website and check out the model and year of the boat. Will give you some specs. Or check out iboats classified, or boat trader and see if they have the boat listed, may have some other info listed.<br /><br /><br /> Jim

i owned a sunbird neptune 200cc. had the manual, but it didn't provide much. more of a "how to boat", like most. i'd give up looking, even if you found one you'd be disappointed.<br /><br />any specific questions and i'll try to help.

i am also looking for a manual for a 1992 neptune 15 model boat. I am interested to find out exactly where the foam is placed in the hull, if there are any larger sections than others or if there are any air pockets in the hull. I think it is saturated with water and I want to try and drain it out.

A manual won't tell you any of that. As matttt25 said, the 'boat' manuals are pretty useless.

OP - boat manuals are USELESS - get a factory service manual for your engine and or drive that is all you need. Sunbird only built the fiberglass, everything else was bolted/screwed/glued on.

nickdiana - start a new thread in the restoration forum - if you have water in the foam you can not "dry it out". You need to rip up the deck, remove the old foam, probably replace some stringers and or transom due to rot, pour in new foam, and rebuild the deck.
