Recommended WOT RPM???

Trying to find out the WOT RPM's for a 79 mercury 90hp outboard. Thanks, need it to determind proper pitch for new prop.

I had an '86 90hp and the RPM at WOT was supposed to be 5500.

Hi Hawk69<br />I had a 79 90hp Merc for 21 years, the recommended rpm WOT range is 4500 to 5000, this is from the original owners manual. The 115hp WOT range was 5000 - 5500 and the 140hp was 5300 - 5800.<br /><br />Bob
