Hi, Colton.

Yamaha has a great and well-deserved reputation, but I would go for the EFI Johnny without hesitation.

I have a 70 EFI (also made by Suzuki) and it is the greatest engine I have had in 50 years. And I love OMCs.

It is a question of a great engine or a greater engine. Go for the EFI Johnny.
Go with the yamaha 40. I would get the two stroke. They hardly burn any gas and last forever. Four strokes have to many parts. If they will let you use a two stroke. Yamaha....
WHAT THE. . . ?????

We were answering a post about a choice between a 40 Yammy 4 stroke and a 40 Johnson 4 stroke. Where the heck did the decarb question come from???
