SS MINNOW <br /> THE 75/90 H.P. MERC. CAN GET A SQEAK THAT COMES FROM THE UPPER BEARING. MERC SAYS IT IS NOT A PROBLEM.HAVE TWO OF THESE MOTORS THAT DID THIS<br />NOISE WENT AWAY. BOTH THESE MOTORS HAVE IN EXCESS<br />OF 250 HRS. ON THEM WONDERFUL TOURQEY MOTORS <br />LOVE EM !!!

Ouch, the upper bearing??!! I hope Mercury is right and I get as many hours as you did. They are great motors and have excellent torque.
