fuel mix 65 merc 1000 100hp?

what is the usual mix for these engines? i have been using a 32:1 mix am i wrong? correct me if am PLEASE..... Thanks

martyt: Your 1965 Merc 1000 was meant for 50:1 and that oil was nowhere near as good as the new TCW-3.

TCW-3? not sure what ya mean by that im pretty stupid to this mixology

martyt: Don't feel bad about asking questions. It looks a lot better to humbly ask questions than to put on a big, embarrasing public demo that shows you should have asked! (We're all quietly laughing at ourselves now, aren't we?) TCW-3 is an outboard oil formulation spec. I think it's pretty much the current standard--available everywhere, even gas stations.
