Weak Spark on all cyl.

1985 Mariner V 6 150 HP<br />Engine does not stay running under about 1,000 RPM<br />Runs great from 1,000 RPM to 5,000 RPM<br />Put an in line spark tester on each cylinder, spark is weak going to all cylinders.<br /><br />2 Years ago had a problem that I could not go above 1,500 RPM's. Had the stator changed and the problem went away.<br />Could a bad stator cause all 6 cylinders to have a weak spark?

hello<br /> most definately it can. low charge coil voltage in equals low switch box output voltage. test both. its time for a quick diagnosis.<br />good luck and keep posting
