In order

Yes
No
No

There si no glue recommended by Mercury for replacing the magnets and the magnets are not listed sepperately in any mircofiche that we could find a few months ago. We had a similar engine that needed a flywheel replaced. Sorry to be the bearer of bad news! :(

Re: sport jet 90 flywheel magnets

I have had success using store-bought epoxy to replace magnets on the inside edge of my flywheel. I was told that salt water got in there and after it dried, the salt crystallized and popped the magnets off. I dont know if this was the cause. I was extremely careful to remove the old glue and sand and clean both surfaces. I also made sure that the magnets were evenly spaced and level. I intended it to be a quick-fix so I could use the boat until I could get a new flywheel, but it seemed to work so well, I left it and it is still working after several years.

OMC used to have a epoxy just for this purpose.I don't know that BMC still has it,but I used it years ago on a merc with no problems.
DHP
