On the 115 mariner I understand that at a idle onle on carb operates. What RPM do I need to get 'er up to, to properly fog all the carbs?
The spray suggests 10 seconds of spray into air intake, then shutting off engine. Then remove plugs and 3 second spray into those holes, re-install plugs.
Anything else I should do as far as fogging?

Thanks much in advance.

hello
on that older 6 cyl 115 it idles on all three carbs. I would go at least 20 to 30 seconds in each carb. I rarely spray through the plugs as the cylinders are already coated. the later model 4 cyl 115 motors are the ones that idle on the top 2 carbs and bring the bottom 2 on about 1800. good luck and keep posting

Thanks!
I guess I should have mentioned that it was a '98 model and a 4 cyl.
Does anyone remove their prop? The boat will be stored outside and I plan to leave the motor in the down position too.

Thanks in again! :)

yes remove the prop. clean and grease the shaft make sure the seal is ok. no fishing line. reinstall the prop. change the gear oil or at least check for water in the oil. if its a 4 banger it should have 4 carbs. the six had 3 and the 3 cyl had 3. good luck and fog all 4 :)
