Hello guys, a newbie here from Perth, Western Australia. great to be a part of this site, wish I had found it years ago! I have a 18'6 Voyager with 115 Merc, and fish the local waters regularly.

The motor is a 1991 115hp merc' 4 cyl, an excellent motor, but recently water got in to the trim motor, hence the trim motor was dismantled and a new seal kit installed.
In that process, the impeller/pump unit that is fixed to the end of the motor (the round aluminium part with the 'o' rings shown in the attached picture) had to be dismantled due to a broken mounting stud. The impeller consists of various springs, valves, ball bearings etc, but my Merc' manual does not give an exploded view of the impeller, hence I don't wish to re-assemble it until I get some guidance.
Hoping someone can help. Thanks guys.

Where is the attached photo? i'm not quite familar the terminologies mentioned.
Try and get hold of a more detailed service manual than the one which you presently have, maybe a library close by would have one that you could borrow.

skullduggery,
I don't know if it will work for you in Australia but go to the Mercury site, click on go shopping, then parts express. It will prompt you for a serial number and a zip code. After you've done that you should be able to get an exploded view of your engine.
JD
