Re: spit and sputter

It'll probably go away with hard running. Any excess oil that made it into the crankcase just needs to be diluted with new gas as it's running. Should only take a few minutes at full throttle.

The other possiblity is that the recirculation system check valves got plugged with the oil and can't flush themselves out causing fuel to puddle in the cylinders at idle. Pull the bleed lines and check them out...... or not, your call!

Good luck :D

Re: spit and sputter

thanks you guys, of corse i have not run it in a couple months ,but when this all happen was late sept, all through oct. i used the boat and had the same results, spit ,sputter then run like a big dog. so the hard running did not fix it, it has autoblend for oil, maybe rebuild carbs will help, first will check out the bleed lines. thanks again,,,rbas GETTHENET
