Went through all of the Merc OEM manual checks for motor with oil alarm while running (remote and motor tanks full, tried bleeding, etc.) Looks like driven gear is not turning when motor is running. This is apparently causing the pump rotor not to turn and generates the alarm. I'm guessing the driven shaft and/or the drive gear on the crankshaft is crapped up. Any good guesses what's happening here?<br /><br />BTW, not interested is disconnecting the oil system.
