Hi, Bobby.

150 hours is barely broken in.

With good care an engine should go 1500-2500 without major repairs.

Rebuild it when it breaks or when it can't produce full power.

Good luck. :)

thanks jb i think i finally got a decent motor with small boat, i had lots of trouble before and i wanted to know the answer, last boat i had was bad luck if i put 6o hrs 1n 2 yrs that was a lot but i was always fixing it also. this has power trim and i want to do full maintaince and advice on power trim, as sunday will be 1 week that i have this boat , i am going to buy a shop manual very soon, i want to check and replace lower fluild , plugs etc, the only minor problem is its a lake boat 17 ft cobia that they removed all gauges, i think only to avoid expense. new floors seats, a young doc had it for his kids to ski but boat was to small so he brought bigger ski boat...is it bad to have no gauges , i went for a ride last week and its sounds great, but i dont want to but tach volt meter etc this week.....i need basic stuff today like achoe /line/flares etc just to make it safe he must have used achoor for other boat...options for tach???think i should buy 1 in a couple of weeks, the boat does about thirty.max, i should get tach to see maybe could use diff.prop
thanks bob
