I RECENTLY REPLACED MY ALUM PROP WITH A SS PROP ON MY 2003 MERC 2 STROKE 90 HP THATS WHEN I NOTICE THAT THIER WAS SOME END PLAY IN THE OUTPUT SHAFT (1/8 OF A INCH TRAVEL)IS THIS NORMAL?
If it was my motor i would take it back to the dealer and have them look at it.. such a new motor.. my 88 125 doesn't have any play in the output shaft
Boating4fun29,

You'll probably find that your prop shaft does have about this much movement. It's just that the pin that moves the clutch is spring loaded. If you push on it you'll find the movement. 'bout 1/8" is normal.

Chris.........
