850 Mercury plug wires

I have a 850 Mercury outboard with a distributer. The wires seem to be fastened permanently to the distributor. The engine will not start and I have spark in every wire except #4. I am assuming I need to change the one wire but dont know how to. Do I need to change the whole distributor?<br /><br />Thanks<br /><br />John

John some Merc plug wires screw into the distributor cap.<br /><br /><br />DHP
