Free advertising.

Metro, there is a way you can advertise your business on iboats for FREE, but you have to invest some time. You can include your web address in your Profile which will be accessible to anybody that reads your responses to various questions posted on the iboats forums. All you have to do is invest your time and good advice. The more you offer your sage insight to boating's unlimited problems, the more you expose your business to the world. And I do mean the world. Iboats gets people from every continent on here. I get a big kick out of offering my modest knowledge to people from Europe, Africa, Australia, and so on. One of these days I'm going to start sticking pins in a world map. If you look above this post you'll see a little man next to a house. Click on that and you'll get linked to my website. It hasn't exactly made me rich, in fact it hasn't brought me any business at all. But that's not why I'm here. I have some sort of sick addiction to this. I doubt the shrinks even have a term for it yet. Good Luck and I hope we hear from you often.

Bad advice, Willy.

Spam in the sig is still spam and must be removed to avoid banning.

I tried a variation on the same by sticking pins into Jonnyrude owners - it worked!

-W

You should fit in well then....
Welcome aboard, and just a reminder, they don't allow us to sell, buy, etc., directly on the forum, as iboats is the "Marine Mega Mall"... Lots a good people here, including some top-dog off-shore, and inland racing gurus, boat builders, you name it.
Your experience would be an asset.... :)

Sig is what appears on the bottom everytime you post. I think JB musta been overtired or something. I never said anything about the signature. I eluded to the link icon above the post. Find "my profile" above and you can put your URL there for people to visit. You can't blatantly advertise. Even your name could be considered non-policy and get you bumped. Pick something that fits You, like LoneStarMechanic or MetroMariner or FortWorthFixer. Welcome to iboats. Hope to hear from you in your next incarnation.

Right, Willy.

I misread your post.

MMS is welcome here, so long as he doesn't promote his commercial operation on the Board.
