prop help please !!!!!!!

i have a tracker pro-18 and it had an aluminum 13 pitch prop on it. i ordered a stainless one for it in a 14 pitch to max. top end speed. it cut my rpm 1000 and so slow coming out of the hole. so, i sent it back and traded it for a 12 pitch. how will this be?? it was running 4500 rpm with the 14, so will the 12 give me back 5500??? someone please respond.

How did it perform with the 13, Paul?<br /><br />Please don't beg. We are here to help and it is redundant to yell help.<br /><br />Your time would be better spent using the SHIFT key so we could more easily understand your problem.<br /><br />Let us know about the 13 performance, and good luck.

You can gain or lose about 200 to 300rpm, when going up or down in pitch for every one pitch change. Depending on the maker and style of prop.

And stainless is stiffer - holds pitch better = less RPM. The 12 might do it.<br /><br />-W
