2003 mercury mariner- Idle suddenly went up from 800 rpm to 1200 rpm.<br />Full trottle speed cut down from 35 MPh to 18 MPH/<br />What could be the problem?..
Welcome to iboats.<br /><br />We'll need a bit more information. What horsepower and 2- or 4-stroke? Tiller or steering wheel? Either way it sounds like a control problem. Remote or twist. Mechanical problems I can think of would drop the RPMs at idle and full.
