Saftey Feature?

While going across the lake on plane, the motor cut off. I stopped, cranked again, went apprx 100 yards and cut off again. Then I trolled to campsite. Pulled cover off and seen where the hose line that feeds oil to gas was off. The boat does have an emergency type oil feed but I'm not sure if that kicked in because no buzzers kicked off. Reconnected hose and used all day the next day with no problems. Just wondering why it kept cutting off and if this is some type of saftey feature. Thanks in advance for any suggestions!!

Welcome to iboats and what do you have? I'm not picturing any emergency oil feeds and I know of no motor that would have a safety feature to kill the motor if an oil hose falls off. I'd check compression before using it again. Siezure would be a likelihood.
