6 inline serial #

Neighbor has a 84-89? Merc 115. Looking for serial number. I aint had a merc in years. He found 11967521 stamped on the mount and "Mercury", another # 5488608 380 somewhere (he didn't say). Any help here would get a big "Thanks" in advance! Robby
