hello, i have a 1990 merc 90hp 3 cylinder.

when i have the motor in thr driveway, on the muffs at idle, tuning it or rinseing it after use, what ever, i have noticed that the tell tale/pee stream never gets hot, it doesnt even get warm, it stays cold the entire time, and i have let it run for a half hour or so. also, the water coming out from the prop is the same temp and the water that comes from the front of the gear case is also cold the whole time? should it get warm? any others out there with similar motor?

any ideas are good ideas! thanks in advance

mike

If it still remains cold and the plugs get fouled when running under load then it could be a T/Stat issue.
