I just changed the oil injection tubing but the supply line is only 1/3 fill by the pump.
I'm running oil in my gas so I'm covered there.
Also I know the oil flows from the oil tank OK also the vent's open.
Is there any purging that has to be done , any help would be appreciated.
the oil pump was working fine before I winterized her.
thanks,
alan

With the engine running, unscrew the reservoir cap on the motor a little, and it should slowly fill up. When full, tighten cap and your good to go.. That is how it should work.....

Here is the procedure from the Clymer manual. Procedure is the same for the constant-ratio type system and variable-ratio systems.
If air is present in the oil pump inlet hose, proceed as follows to bleed air.
1) Place shop towel below oil pump to absorb oil.
2) Loosen oil pump bleed screw 3-4 turns.
3) Allow oil to flow from bleed screw until no air bubbles are noted in the inlet hose.
4) tighten bleed screw to 25 in-Ib.
If air is present in the discharge hose, pour 50:1 mixture into fuel tank. Run engine at idle until no air bubbles are noted in the discharge hose.
Hope this helps.

I tryed that, I thought so too.
I checked a Solec manual & theres a bleed screw on the pump, OK easy enough I thought but it's rusty & rounded out & located in a spot I cant get to easily.
After an hour of trying to open this bleed screw I decided to remove the tank again & I removed the line & filled it with oil by hand ..
I think I got all the air out but wonder if this things pumping or not.
How does one tell if oil pump is working ?
anyone know..??
thanks,
Alan

Haven't tried this but you should be able to. Disable the ignition (safety kill switch) and disconnect the output oil line from the pump. Crank the engine for a few seconds and I think you should see some output. Not much though because it is such a low ratio to gas.

Might work but @ 100-1 idle speed it would be a miniscule amount.
What I did was marked the tanklevel & sight tube with a magic marker & I'm going to blast around the bay for a while.
Running 50-1 in the gas tank so I'm covered lubrication wise.
Thanks Rod
