1980 mercury black max 175

[Bout Time 2]

On the first start every day it is hard to start. The carbs are flooding right away. Once I get it started the rest of the day it fires right up and runs great. Any ideas or things I could check. Thanks in advance.

Try to trim the engine all the way down on the first start

If you engine is about level or tucked under a bit when this is happening, you need a carb overhaul.

Lube's probably right on the money... 1980 motor is probably due for a carb cleaning....<br /><br />Let us know.....
