I am wanting to know if anyone knows what could possibly be wrong with my motor... It will start and idle decently... Take off get on full throttle go a decent 150-200 yard range and it will start to act to act like it isn't getting fuel and it will die. Acts like the top end??? Im no mechanic.. im not for sure... The source may be that one of my buddies put Heet in the fuel tank in duck season so the "water" in the gas wouldn't freeze when we later read the container it sais not to run through 2-stoke motors though so... Anyways this is an Old 9.8 Mercury. Could the Heet have screwed my top end up or the whole motor? If it needs to be rebuilt how much $ are we looking at...
Thanks,
Duckslayer

Try to pump the bulb while your getting up to speed to see if it's the fuel pump
