i got a 1976 glastron boat that i'm redoing from the ground up. i had to put in a new gas float unit in the tank. in this boat my common ground is on the back of the fuel gauge on the dash. it also has 3 other post on the back of fuel gauge to to supply elec. to other funtions of the boat. the problem is the fuel gauge is reading backwards. i can move the float up to where it should be reading full and it reads empty. move it to empty reads full. any suggestions guys would be apreciate. thanks

Is the fuel gauge sender grounded as well? It needs to be connected the the common boat ground.
