fuel line/filters

Is it best to go with as short a fuel line as you can and to keep the primer bulb as close to the tank as possible?And what about those glass inline filters(which I am not fond of)?<br />What can happen if you go from a shorter old fuel line to a newer longer line ?

Short as possible and leave the filter on the shelf at the store, it can cause more grief than it's worth.

Thanks! I had heard it was a boatrepair mans dream to use one of them between the bulb and the motor(worst place for it) ! I wont even fool with it !<br />And should I keep the bulb as close to the tank as possible?

Is th fuel ratio 50/1 converted to 8 oz per 3 gal sound right?

Also ,is it ok to use the canister filter/seperator that goes between the pump and carbs?

You are correct sir! 8 oz/3 gal; 16 oz / 6 gal; 32 oz / 12 gal.
