I have been told all I need to do is swap the computer contol module on my 200 to a module for a 225 and I will gain horse power, has anyone ever done this and is it as easy as it sounds?

No and No again... Think about it for a moment, your horse power is derived from the size engine you have. The computer control module, while it does control sensors, wont make it incress horse power that didnt come with the engine in the first place. If you want more horse power try a tune up, or by a bigger motor...

Now I am confused, looking at the specs for each motor the block and internals are the same. With the only difference being the computer. So where am I looking at this wrong. Please tell me before I waste any money. Thanks

I may be wrong but, I believe the 200 Merc. EFI is a 2.5 Liter engine, & the 225 EFI is a 3 Liter engine. If my menory serves me correctly.
