Water impeller is bad, replace it or your engine will overheat and die if not already dead.

On some mercs that can be caused by a bad exhaust gasket. The exhaust will go past the gasket and into the cooling system. If all you're getting is exhaust then you've probably had a mixture of exhaust and water coming out for some time and now the impellor is toast and all you get is exhaust.

if you do not have a manuel - get one - I'm just getting into my impeller - little pee little pee - I want the moter going like a race horse - I here it is not difficult - will let you know
