guys, im trying to hook up my temp gauge to my new motor. Next to #1 plug is a brass hex head that looks like it can be removed, is this water pressure or temp? If it's temp. I bought a teleflex sender and the thread looks to big for the hole? Also i connected the gauge to the tan wire and got no reading, so im assuming there is no sender already installed.

can someone help me out on this one.

thanks

cheers

The sender there is for a "hot-horn". When that area of the block gets too hot, it goes to ground and the horn beeps.

-W

I'm just shooting in the dark but you might be able to remove the OT switch and put in your temp sender? Downside is you'll lose the OT warning/horn signal or is there enough room to put in a T and have both?

You could always tap the #2 cylinder in the same spot?

-W
