no spark to #5 cylinder

hi everybody in april my 150 mercury 1981 v6 over heated and I replaced the waterpump. my #5 cylinder has no spark, I replaced the coil and still have no spark. I was wondering if the switchbox could have went bad from the motor overheating. I would appreciate any help.thank you Steve

wunderman<br /><br />Could be a bad SCR in one box. You could swap the outputs from switchboxes to the coils to see if the no spark moves with the swap. I don't know if overheating could cause a box to go bad.<br /><br />Dave..

how do I switch the outputs from switchboxes to coils? do i totally interchange switchboxes? thank you steve
