They forgot my favorite knot Similar to the cow hitch, a clove hitch has many uses on the water. Example: hanging a fender from a bow rail. You can adjust clove hitches for any height/length without untying. Personally, I use clove hitches and bowlines almost exclusively.<br /><br /> Clove Hitch
