Hey Joe...sorry to hear about your troubles, glad you got it fixed OK, seems kinda strange one module can affect another? Hope everything is well with your Cutter.

hey steam mill
just finished reading your post and with what i read am assuming the boat/motor in question is a Cutter with a 90 hp. i am currently looking at a 04 Cutter173BowRider with a 90hp merc 2 stroke. if this is similar to your boat, i would appreciate any info on the package, are you happy with it or should i steer clear?

My cutter is the 171. I think the 173 is a little larger?

Anyway, I'm quite happy with the boat. I opted for the 90 as I did not like the 115 with its switching cylinders and it weighs more.

The package as a whole is good. The boat is in the water at the cottage from may to september. I run two props a 17" for skiing and 21" for cruising.

With the 21" does about 50 mph. Plains at about 22MPH.

Easily cruise with 6 adults on board.

Mine came with a camper top. Hate it. Takes too long to put up and take down. Had a custom tonneau cover made for it this year and will never by a camper top for a boat again.

All said, I'm quite happy with it!

Joe
