Well if u read my last post u would know I was getting an intermittent high pitch squeal. So i took the flywheel cover off today and noticed the timing belt tensioner isn't at it's max and the timing belt has some slop in it. So I'm thinking this is where the squeal came from. Is it alright to put max pressure on the belt with the adjustable tensioner?
Thanx in advance

Well if everything else was running OK then I would have just waxed(stick) the belt to remove the squeal.

crem1

The timing belt cannot slip, If it were to slip the motor would not run at best or you would have bent valves.
Look elsewhere. check oil leval with the dipstick.

ACtually the back of the belt can slip against the tensioner if it is loose. Have u actually seen 1 of these motors?

No, I've never had that buzzer problem.
How many hours on your motor?

Well After tightening the timing belt I ran the motor today for 8 hrs with no squeals or other noises.
So it looks like I fixed the problem
