Probaby not been run for a while and has some 2st oil sitting in the bowls. Maybe a de-carb would help further down the track. But don't panic, 2 strokes burn oil to run, will smoke when cold. Start worrying when there's NO smoke, like poor old ZMOZ's 150,who had forgotten the pre-mix and.. Ca Blooey...<br />Take her out for a hard long run to blow cobwebs out and she will settle down.

yea i agree with 460. ALL 2 strokes especially carbed ones will have a lot of smoke on a cold start up. that is normal. white color is also good. next fill up put some good fresh oil in it, new gas, warm her up, and open it up for a bit. make sure everythings "cleaned out" so to speak. 2-stokes need and prefer that WOT every once in a while so they dont get backed up.

White smoke can indicate that the fuel has been treated with a fuel system cleaner.
