At least it's clean now. Why not buy a portable garage if you can squeeze it into your budget?

OK heres a thought, Try one of those double sized air matresses. blow it up lash it to the cockpit and cover it with a tarp. That should keep water from colleting and if you buy it at wallyworld and it doesnt fit/work, just return it. Gotta be cheaper than storage.

I have a Bass Boat, the one in my avitar. I have had great luck as I dont have a garage with the PVC you mentioned and a 10 X 20 Plastic tarp. I have to buy a new one every year though. I put a peice between the front and back seat fishing seats with a pole in the middle. I then put the tarp on from the engine to the front and strap it tight to the trailer with bungies. Front to back and side to side. It servives 40-50-60 MPH winds. I fail to see where you are having the problem.

Mini Storage / Boat Storage / RV storage.
All cheaper than the damage even a mild climate can do to a boat if left outside....and, room to store other things as well.

I took an old tent frame and cut it down to fit just inside the boat even with the top of the window frame on the edge and humped up in the middle. Then I covered it with a blue tarp and tied it down good around the edges. It shed water great, I just had to clear the snow off it a couple of times.

Whatever you do... don't ever let your boat get wet.

Re: I can't keep myu boat DRY!

My way of keeping my 15ft speedboat dry was to put a wooden stool roughly in middle of floor with several bits of foam packing on top to give it some height then a lightweight waterproof cover secured with bungees to the trailer and engine etc; I keep it fairly loose at the front which allows the wind to lift the cover and let air through and it also helps to blow any rain off which might settle on the cover, since putting cover on in Sep 05 we have had winds of 50mph no problems. It has been raining SO SO hard here.
I put a 12 foot two by four from the back to the top of the glass, it kept it dry for a while.

Then the 55mph winds hit, the rain came down solid for 3 days.

I went out and the cover had collapsed. I had about 200 gallons of water in the boat.

I just pulled the cover and let it get wet, it's a boat........I just may have to re=upholster it next summer (Or not)......

WHen the rain stops for more than a day I'll go try again......

Why not get a cover that is designed for that particular boat? My boat cover hugs the lines of my boat and water just beads down it... Inside stays relatively dry. (It has to be treated again).

i have three boats stored outside, all have 3/4" pvc tent frames and Wall Mart tarps. i use 14' nylon rope for tie downs so you can adjust. they are always clean and dry, ready to go.

Costo has the best ones, they sell for about $169.00, are 10' X 20' with sides, back and zipper front door. They are 100% water proof and will last for many years. Boat companies in this area use them to keep the boats dry and clean if they need to be outside any time during assembly or rigging. You can connect them together and make it longer if you want.
