Nos1013 I'm with you on the prop being to high. An 18' 70's trihull is a heavy boat and it won't hurt if you end running at 5800 rpms. Compression sounds great for that motor. My guess is you'll prob end up with a 15p prop.

After talking my fiance into taking the boat out this weekend along with the jet ski, I went to the marine salvage today. He likes the idea of me taking "Black Anchor" parts away, and he actually had a BRASS 17" pitch prop that he sold me for a mere $30! I almost ripped my pocket off reaching for my check book when he told me that! And yeah, he knew that was a major bargain. So we'll try the brass prop out this weekend, and I'll update this post either Sunday or Monday. I at least hope that these updates aid in other people's learning and understanding of what makes these things go! I know that I've learned from other people's updates! Anyways, wish me to "break a leg!" ;)

"B"
