Spec sheet weight vs. reality and two motors?

I have a Wellcraft 28' cruiser which is specified as weighing 7200 pounds. However, there were options for a single engine or two, and no other weights listed. I have two engines. Would the 7200 figure be with one engine? And if so, how much more would another full drive system weigh?

Look up your boat model here and select the option for different engine(s), if different from the one(s) you have. It may be that the weight for your boat is already figured in...

www.nadaguides.com

Are you checking for towed weight? Personally, I would not believe anything but a truck scale . . .

The NADA guide gives exactly the same figure as the Wellcraft spec sheet. Simply says that weight = 7200, but also says that there were multiple engine options.

Why do I want to know? Just to know. The truck is rated for way more than that, the receiver is 12k rated, and the bar/ball rated at 10k. I think I can be confident that I'm not over 10k (tandem axle aluminum trailer, which I believe weighs about 1100--I'd have to look again). The trailer also has a 10k GVWR.

Speaking of truck scales though--how do you use those? Just drive onto it? Go inside and pre-arrange it? I notice they can measure individual axles or axle pairs; can you get the tongue on one to measure that? Will they let you drop it and measure the tongue weight?
