The very small orfice on the lower unit of my motor that is the speedometer pick up is clogged up. I used a very small drill bit and cleaned out as much trash as possible by hand. I think I have gotten as far as possible with a solid striaght tool but it is still clogged. <br /><br />What could I use that is flexible enough to make the upward bend yet solid enough to extract the material? I tried compressed air but it didn't work, any suggestions?
<br /><br />I digress.....anybody know what that tube is made of going through the lower unit part of the motor?<br /><br />I was thinking about using a solvent or something but, if it is some sort of plastic, I don't want to chance eating a hole in it. I don't know if a hole in that line would allow water to infiltrate the lower unit oil if the clog was cleared along with eating a hole in the tubing.
