Can you switch 703 controls from "pull" to "push"

Hello,
I'll get right to business...I bought a set of 703 controls on ebay that where supposed to be "push to open" which was what I needed. When I got them it even said "push to open" on the bottom, however they are pull to open. I looked inside and saw where the arm would have to be mounted to make it "push to open". There are a series of levers where one lever has two holes. One above and one below a pivot point. It seems clear the arm in question would have to be in the other hole to get it to do what I want it to. However, the bushings seem to be pressed in during manufacturing  making it impossible to do a simple change. The guy I bought them from says it can be changed but I don't see how. I would really appreciate any help on this from someone who knows. Thanks in advance for any replies.

Thanks for the reply. You are right. I went to the dealer and the throttle arm linkage assembly I need runs a pricey $65.00. These cannot be altered. You have to buy the correct throttle arm assembly for the action you want from the box. Not such a good deal now. Another $30 bucks and I could have bought the whole thing new

well, you went to your dealer for advise, yet you went to ebay to save a buck. Thats what usually happens, stick to the dealer, you will need him in the future

JR
