I have a 2000 yam SX225TRY, at 4000-5000 rpm the engine bogs down/ stalls, I have good fuel supply to the fuel pumps so maybe fuel pumps, carb's, or a electrical problem? I 'd like to rule out the electrical problem.<br />thx
Never mind, 3 new fuel pumps did the trick.<br />I'm putting three new ones on the starboard side also. Took about 1 hour to change them out. Runs nice at WOT.
like i say on a yammi every 3 years replace the fuel pumps. at least once per year clean or replace the VST filter. on the hpdi motors every 200 hours or yearly for the medium pressure filter.<br /> clean filters are the key.<br /> good luck and keep posting

hello<br /> the vst filter is located in the tank on the port fwd side of the engine. remove the screws and the 3 bolts that hold the tank to the crankcase and you can access it. its expensive.<br /> the O2 sensor takes a 22mm o2sensor tool to remove. I always remove the holder from the block as well.<br /> the O2 sensor is located on the portside hih on the #1 cyl. it has a black plastic cover and 4 small wires.<br /> you will need a gasket kit to clean it.<br /> you have no carbs. its injected.<br /> good luck and keep posting

no need to depressurize anything. yes the phillips headed screws that hold the resevoir in place and the 3 6mm bolts that hold the tank to the block<br /> good luck and keep posting
