I would carefully follow the procedure outlined in your owners manual. have your dealer go over it and highlight the important details
good luck and keep posting

I bought the big brother F150 on a 19 ft Polar.

Yamaha recommends not exceeding the Max RPM range (5500 - 6000) for more than 5 minutes at a time during the first 10 hrs of use.

My dealer indicated no special break in instructions but suggested I burn through a tank of gas before making any long runs or pulling the kids on a tube. On top of that they recommended changing the oil and filter at the end of the season.

Kevin

Don't use synthetic oil until the rings are seated
and the motor is broken in.

it never ceases to amaze me how many people cannot read and follow simple manuals. the break in procedure is not complicated but must be followed or problems will arise. as far as the 150 being a big brother about all the 2 engines have in common is they burn gas and were made by yamaha.
pakev. re read your breakin and switch dealers.
good luck and keep posting]
