I have tried to get a workshop manual for my FT60BETL (2003 - the "high thrust" model) but yamaha.com only lists the F60TJRB and the F60TLRB. Is either of these the correct manual? Yamaha Aus are about as useful as a chocolate kettle hence my going to Yam USA.

Re: Yamaha model number

Here is the breakdown of the US model codes,
http://www.boats.net/cgi-local/listings.pl?type=info&stype=motor&id=14247
And the Euro/Aussie equivalent,
http://www.yamaha-motor.co.uk/products/marine/outboards/model_codes.jsp
One of your options that you had found, is obviously a Jet drive, which rules that out. The US equivalent of your motor, should be something along the lines of FT60TLRB. In your case I would suspect there are a few differences in build spec between the High Thrust and the "regular" model, obviously the prop setup, but in all essential details, you could be ok with your other suggestion. Or you might try the right model but 2004? It seems they have that one. Hope it helps.

Re: Yamaha model number

Thanks Superted, it looks like the model is called the T60B in the USA. However it seems Yam US won't ship to Aus from their website shop, so I'll have to order it through Yam Aus... at almost twice the price! If only we had our weather and USA prices...

Thanks rodbolt. Helpful as ever. I'm especially after the lower leg maintenance pages... still getting a tiny amount of water in the oil!
My email is: mdbarnett@optusnet.com.au.
Will I need the supplement 02-46?
