I was looking at the service chart in my F40 owners manual. It states an amount in engine hours and also in months/year do do inspections.

For example, 100 hrs (6 months) 'Inspection/replacement of fuel filter'
Does this imply if your usage is low in hours then go with the 6 months instead? I will do about 40 hrs this season on top of the 13 I did at the tail end of last summer when I got my motor?

I'm sure most people just check/replace everything yearly if usage is light.

I don't want to go 'over kill' on the maintenance, just take a sensible approach.

It lists some things as Yam dealer only. Everything I see is very basic (except replacing timing belt).

Do you have to follow this religously to keep the warranty?

Why does it not mention checking/replacing the impellor?

Does the service manual list more stuff for maintenance?

Thanks

Andy
