ignition coil problem?

I have a 1989 yamaha 40hp 2-stroke engine. Last season I had water in the gas, and have had problematic running since then. I had the damage from the water repaired, replaced my feul/water seperator, replaced the fittings and primer bulb and line on the feul tank, replaced all 3 carbs, and replaced a cracked ignition coil at the end of last season. Each of these fixes has got it running again for a few days at a time, somtimes less. This season I replaced the feul tank, line, and bulb, feul pump, filter, and all the internal feul lines in the engine housing. My problem is that I cannot seem to keep enough pressure in the feul line to keep the engine from stalling at low speeds, and at high speeds I get very low engine rpms, unless I prime the bulb in the feul line during operation.

Could this be related to another faulty ignition coil or the cdi unit?
any help would be greatly appreciated.

-eric

make sure the oring on the engine filter is in place and if the fuel pump has not been replaced in the past 3 years do it as well. your describing a fuel delivery problem. as in it aint getting to the carbs unless you use the primer as a fuel pump.

The Oring is newly replaced and the feul pump is 2 weeks old. Everything in the feul system has been replaced in the last year. I am looking for secondary issues.

by using the fuel primer bulb your bypassing the pump. either you dont have enough compression to operate the engine pump or you have a fuel restriction. another test is to attach the line from the tank directly to the engine fuel filter. bypassing the cowl connector. occasionally they will fail. especially if a dry gas chemical has been used. the oring in it will swell and shut off the fuel.
